CHEMSEAL-HD FABRIC JOINT MATERIAL

CHEMSEAL-HD consists of two PTFE coated fibreglass composite fabrics interleaved with a 0.30mm thick chemical barrier, the three components laminated together to form a high strength impervious fabric . The composite fabric possesses the strength and durability of the two load bearing fabric components. The 100% PTFE corrosion liner has a multi directional strength and durability, allowing it to function as a thick PTFE barrier for corrosive chemicals while maintaining a crack-free and flexible surface.

CHEMSEAL-HD is generally used as the flexible membrane in fabric expansion joints for severe corrosive conditions. The fabric has been especially developed for wet and corrosive applications requiring a rugged fabric.

CHEMSEAL-HD fabric can be used as a flat belt or integrated with flanges or pipe hardware to create an expansion joint to absorb movements and misalignments in ductwork. Once measured and cut to suit the application or ductwork, the fabric can be heat seal joined to form a continuous belt.

It is recommended RADCOFLEX construct and assemble any new fabric expansion joints involving hardware.

Replacement fabric membranes can be fitted by the customer in most cases, subject to the complexity of the hardware configuration involved. A Heat Seal Iron, heat sealing film and instructions are available from RADCOFLEX if required.
